Safety platform has delivered 80,000 alerts for incidents from the everyday to the extreme

CENTEGIX, an IoT company dedicated to innovating technology to save and enrich lives, heads into 2022 poised to accelerate on its record-breaking 2021 results.

“School districts across the country recognize the need now more than ever due to an increase in COVID-related behavior incidents to empower teachers to keep the learning environment safe,” said Brent Cobb, CEO of CENTEGIX. “They are turning to our wearable CrisisAlert badge in increasing numbers to equip teachers with the fastest and easiest way to call for help in emergencies from the everyday to the extreme.”

Nationwide Bookings were record level

In 2021, CENTEGIX posted its highest booking year on record, increasing 280% over 2020. The company expanded the communities it serves nationwide, adding education accounts in Mississippi, Indiana, and Oklahoma. CrisisAlert protects students in 10 of the Top 100 school districts and 20 of the Top 250 school districts in the United States.

Early in 2021, the Florida Department of Education approved the CENTEGIX CrisisAlert solution for school districts to comply with its Alyssa’s Law. CrisisAlert was installed and certified in over 600 Florida schools for the start of the school year. In its first Alyssa’s Law Update, the company reported 100% user adoption of its wearable badge that helped teachers and staff in over 3,200 incidents providing further evidence that ease of use is more beneficial to teachers than an application that needs to be downloaded on a mobile phone.

“Having a way for every staff member, at their fingertips, to notify first responders to get there as quickly as possible makes all the difference in the world,” said Frank Frangella, the Martin County School District safety and security director.

The company recently released its Fall 2021 School Safety Trends Report evaluating safety incidents since Fall 2020. Data showed a 250% increase in student behavior incidents with safety incidents per school increasing 150%. The CrisisAlert solution delivered 25,000 alerts, including for drill and testing purposes. Understanding this data and the impact these incidents have on the learning environment and teacher retention is critical for districts of all sizes.

Additional Investment in Technology and Team Member Expansion

With momentum from increased demand and growth capital from a partnership with Gauge Capital, a leading middle-market private equity firm, CENTEGIX increased investment in its CrisisAlert technology and grew its internal team by 50%.

New team members bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to CENTEGIX with many having been teachers who understand the importance of creating safe learning environments. They will support the company’s nationwide expansion.
