New team members increase access to its innovative CrisisAlert solution as Texas prepares for Alyssa’s Law

CENTEGIX, a company dedicated to innovating technology to simplify and speed incident response time, announces its expansion in Texas. New Regional Vice Presidents will support Texas school districts that seek to enhance their safety programs with CrisisAlert, an innovative incident response solution.

The company’s award-winning CrisisAlert solution empowers staff with the fastest and easiest way for teachers and staff to call for help in emergencies from the everyday to the extreme. CrisisAlert is unique for its ability to deliver precise alert location, immediate audio and visual incident notifications (including lighted strobes, screen messages, and intercom integration) for campus-wide incidents, and 100% full campus coverage. With the simple push of a button on a wearable badge, an alert instantly reaches administrators and responders.

Heather Connelly, a former teacher with over 20 years of experience in education technology, joins as Regional Vice President, North Texas. “I’ve dedicated my career to supporting fellow educators, and most recently, I’ve focused on safety and security solutions. As a former educator, I know first-hand the importance of creating safe learning environments,” said Heather about her decision to join CENTEGIX. “I look forward to working with districts to bring the badge-based CrisisAlert solution to their security programs.”

Carly Smith joins as CENTEGIX’s Regional Vice President, South Texas. “As a former special education teacher, I know first hand that feeling safe is critical for teachers to teach and students to learn. Sadly, many educators are resigning from their positions because they do not feel safe in the classroom. In addition, social media challenges promoting violence, medical emergencies, and increased mental health needs have put teachers under more stress than ever before,” Carly shared based on her experience as a former teacher. “Providing safety solutions such as CrisisAlert is a way for districts to support their educators and improve overall campus security. This is extremely timely, especially considering current recruitment and retention challenges. CENTEGIX provides a solution that supports the everyday and the unthinkable – and I look forward to leading this initiative in Texas and beyond”.

According to Brent Cobb, CEO of CENTEGIX, “Texas has a strong reputation for school safety. As its legislature considers Alyssa’s Law, our recent experience as one of the vendors selected by the Florida Department of Education for Alyssa’s Law will be valuable to Texas districts. Our school safety data indicates that all schools need a solution that empowers staff to get help quickly in any emergency from the everyday to the extreme.”

CENTEGIX is honored to support the Texas Association of School Administrators as a Platinum partner and participate in its first TASA Midwinter conference this month. To learn more, visit www.centegix.com/texas.
