The Challenge
- Flomaton Elementary and Flomaton High school share a single SRO between campuses.
- The district needed an added layer of support for times when the SRO was unavailable.
- In Spring 2022, a student at Flomaton Elementary School began choking after a rock became lodged in his throat during recess.
The Solution
- A staff member, who was on the school playground and unable to reach her radio, activated her CENTEGIX CrisisAlert™ badge.

This to me is an extra thick layer of safety that is immediate. You’ve got somebody on the scene within a matter of seconds. You press that button more than three times and you’re fixing to have police, everybody is coming, and the response time, I know, is going to be just as fast.
