Served at the Florida DOE’s Office of Safe Schools as Program Director for Alyssa’s Law implementation and oversaw Florida’s Statewide School Safety Risk Assessment Program, as Deputy Director of the Florida DOE’s Office of Emergency Management, and as Statewide Critical Infrastructure Protection Planner at the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement.

Recognized as California’s Assembly District 44 Woman of the Year for her leadership and outstanding accomplishments. Appointed by President Obama in 2016 to the Medal of Valor Review Board. First female President of the Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA).
